Working-Manager & First-Line Supervisor
Built for the SME reality of the working manager, someone promoted for technical skill who now leads people. It covers the tricky transition into management, coaching and feedback, performance management, and handling conflict before it festers.
This programme addresses a specific and common position: the supervisor who still carries a personal workload alongside responsibility for a team, and who has usually been promoted without being trained. Participants work through the balance between doing and supervising, delegation under time pressure, giving instruction and feedback that lands, handling performance and conduct issues at the first-line level, and knowing when a matter must be escalated to HR. The session covers the specific difficulty of supervising former peers, and the Malaysian employment law basics a first-line supervisor needs so that everyday decisions do not create exposure. Participants rehearse the conversations they have been avoiding.
