Stablecoin and Digital Asset Compliance (KYC, KYB, On-Chain Monitoring and Wallet Security)
Running a stablecoin or digital asset payments business means building the full compliance stack a diagram can show in one image and a regulator will test line by line. Customer onboarding needs identity verification that catches document fraud and synthetic identities, not a single document check. Business customers need their beneficial owners traced, not just a company name recorded. Every wallet and transaction needs monitoring that goes beyond a one-time watchlist match, and an alert is only worth raising if it reaches a documented decision and, where needed, a filed report.
This programme assumes the AML/CFT/CPF framework, platform risk assessment and Travel Rule mechanics already taught in Anti-Money Laundering for Crowdfunding & Digital Asset Platforms, which remains the prerequisite, and goes deeper into the parts of the stack that course only introduces: identity and business verification methodology, on-chain monitoring as a standing discipline, governance over wallet security and transaction policy, fraud and risk-scoring model oversight, and the case management workflow that turns an alert into a filed report. Independent assurance over the same programme is available separately through our Platform AML/CFT and Travel Rule Review. Participants without the prerequisite grounding should attend that course first or alongside this one.

Programme Agenda
Day 1, 9:00 AM - 9:15 AM
Welcome and Programme Overview
Introduction to the session, objectives, and housekeeping.
Day 1, 9:15 AM - 10:15 AM
Know Your Customer for Digital Asset and Stablecoin Users
Identity verification built for remote, high-volume onboarding: document and liveness checks, the forgery and deepfake patterns that defeat weak controls, source of funds triggers proportionate to transaction size, and tiering customers by risk rather than treating every wallet the same way.
Day 1, 10:15 AM - 10:30 AM
Break
Day 1, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Know Your Business and Beneficial Ownership Verification
Verifying the corporate customers, merchants and institutional counterparties a payments platform onboards: company and registry checks, mapping ownership and control through holding structures, and the nominee shareholder and shell-entity patterns that hide a true beneficial owner. Workshop: trace ownership through three layered corporate structures to the natural person who controls them.
Day 1, 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Lunch
Day 1, 1:30 PM - 3:15 PM
On-Chain Analytics and Know-Your-Transaction (KYT) as a Standing Discipline
Running wallet and address risk scoring as an ongoing control, not a one-time screen: the blockchain analytics tool landscape and what each type of tool actually measures, exposure scoring for mixers, bridges and sanctioned addresses, and alert triage so analysts are not drowning in low-value flags. Where this ends and the Travel Rule obligations taught in the AML/CFT platform course begin.
Day 1, 3:15 PM - 3:30 PM
Break
Day 1, 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM
Wallet Security and Transaction Policy Governance
The governance questions a compliance or risk function should ask about custody, without running the infrastructure itself: custody models and where the platform's responsibility sits in each, key management oversight and separation of duties, multisig and approval thresholds, and transaction limits with a documented exception process. What a board should expect to see evidenced, and what counts as a red flag in a custody arrangement.
Day 1, 4:45 PM - 5:00 PM
Day 1 Close
Recap and what to review before day two.
Day 2, 9:00 AM - 9:15 AM
Day 1 Review
Recap of day one and the questions it left open.
Day 2, 9:15 AM - 10:15 AM
Fraud Prevention and Risk Scoring for Payment Platforms
Typologies specific to digital asset and stablecoin payments: account takeover, synthetic identities built to pass KYC, and transaction anomaly patterns that differ from card or bank fraud. Governance over a risk-scoring model, including how thresholds are set, tested and revisited, and the line between a fraud control and an AML control when the same alert could be either.
Day 2, 10:15 AM - 10:30 AM
Break
Day 2, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Compliance Orchestration and Case Management
Turning an alert into a defensible outcome: case workflow design, investigation documentation that stands up to a regulator's questions, the decision points that trigger an STR or SAR filing, and the audit trail a case management process needs to produce on demand. Case workshop: three linked alerts across onboarding, on-chain monitoring and fraud scoring, one case file, one filing decision.
Day 2, 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Lunch
Day 2, 1:30 PM - 3:15 PM
Bringing the Stack Together: Governance, Oversight and Regulatory Readiness
How the controls taught in this course, and the AML/CFT, Travel Rule and sanctions screening work covered elsewhere, fit into one compliance programme a board can actually oversee. Management information that shows whether the stack is working, not just that it exists. Capstone: a gap list and 90-day improvement plan for the participant's own platform.
