Infrastructure-as-code makes environments repeatable and auditable instead of hand-built and fragile. Participants get an introduction to Terraform/Pulumi, learn state management, how to build reusable modules, and the guardrails (policy-as-code, review) that keep IaC safe in production.

The course treats infrastructure as software, which is the shift most teams find harder than the syntax. Participants work through declarative configuration, state management and why state is the thing that breaks first, modules for reuse, variables and environment separation, and the review and testing practices that apply to infrastructure changes as much as to application code. Drift between what the code says and what is actually running gets specific attention, along with how to detect and reconcile it. The practical work is done with a mainstream tool, and the principles transfer to whichever one an organisation has standardised on. For teams starting further back, Git, Infrastructure as Code & Deployment Pipelines (CI/CD) with Vibe Coding covers version control, a first infrastructure configuration and an automated deployment across two days, and works well as the step before this one.
