Stakeholder & Vendor Management
A cross-cutting skill that blends the soft (stakeholder mapping, negotiation) with the hard (vendor governance, SLA management). Useful for project leads, procurement and anyone who depends on outside suppliers to deliver.
The course covers both halves of the relationship: stakeholders you must influence without authority, and vendors you hold to a contract. On stakeholders, participants work through mapping by influence and interest, communication planning, and managing conflicting expectations across functions. On vendors, coverage runs from requirement definition and selection through service levels, performance review, escalation and exit. The session also covers the risk dimension that procurement often owns without support, including what due diligence a vendor should undergo before onboarding and what contractual protections should follow from the findings. Participants finish with a stakeholder map and a vendor review framework for their own portfolio.
