Predictive Maintenance & Condition Monitoring

Unplanned downtime is one of the largest avoidable costs in any plant. This course shows maintenance and operations teams how to shift from reactive and preventive routines to condition-based, predictive maintenance — using sensors, vibration fundamentals and failure-mode thinking. It pairs naturally with our Industrial IoT module.

Programme Modules

01

Sensor & Vibration Fundamentals

How vibration, temperature, oil and acoustic sensors work, what they measure, and how to place them for meaningful signals on rotating and fixed plant.

02

Condition-Monitoring Techniques

Vibration spectrum analysis basics, thermography, lubrication and oil analysis. Building a monitoring routine that catches faults before they become failures.

03

Failure-Mode Analysis

FMEA and reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) thinking. Ranking failure modes by likelihood and consequence to decide what to monitor and how often.

04

Maintenance KPIs & Programme Design

MTBF, MTTR, availability, OEE and planned-maintenance percentage. Designing a predictive-maintenance rollout that fits the plant's maturity.
