Cloud Engineering Foundations (AWS / Azure)
A more hands-on follow-on to cloud foundations that pairs with Orbix's existing cloud-security awareness. Participants work with compute, network and storage, get an introduction to infrastructure-as-code, learn scalability and high-availability patterns, and deploy a sample environment in a lab.
This goes a level deeper than the Cloud-Platform Foundations course and is intended for people who will build and operate cloud infrastructure rather than only understand it. Participants work with compute, networking, storage and identity as an engineer configures them, covering virtual networks and subnets, security groups, load balancing, autoscaling, managed databases and object storage. Identity and access management is treated as a first-class topic rather than an afterthought, since misconfigured permissions cause more cloud incidents than any platform vulnerability. The session closes on architecture patterns for availability and resilience, and on the cost consequences of each design decision.
HRD Corp SBL-Khas Claimable
Programme Modules
Compute / Network / Storage
Designing the core building blocks together, VPCs/vnets, instances, load balancers and storage tiers.
Infrastructure-as-Code Intro
Why IaC matters and a first look at declaring infrastructure in code rather than clicking consoles.
Scalability & High Availability
Scaling horizontally, multi-AZ designs, and the patterns that keep a service up when things fail.
Lab Deployment
Participants stand up a resilient sample application end to end in the cloud console/CLI.
Key Outcomes
- Design compute/network/storage together
- Explain infrastructure-as-code benefits
- Apply scalability and HA patterns
- Deploy a resilient sample environment
