Energy Audit Fundamentals

Practical energy-audit skill for facilities and operations teams. Participants learn a repeatable audit methodology, how to collect data from meters, calculate savings credibly, and report findings so the savings actually get approved and implemented.

Aimed at facility, engineering and sustainability staff who need to find and quantify energy savings rather than commission a consultant to do it. The course covers audit levels from walkthrough to investment-grade, data collection and metering, load profiling, and the analysis that turns consumption data into ranked opportunities. Major systems get individual attention, including lighting, HVAC, motors, compressed air and process heat, since compressed air alone is often the largest avoidable loss in a Malaysian plant. Participants finish able to run a walkthrough audit and produce a costed recommendation list with payback periods. Reporting is covered as a persuasion problem as much as a technical one.
