ESG Fundamentals Training

A plain-language, one-day introduction to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) for teams new to the topic. Understand what ESG actually means, the frameworks everyone references, and why your customers, banks and regulators are increasingly asking about it - the ideal starting point before deeper ESG, reporting or carbon work.

This is the entry course of the ESG line and assumes no prior background. Participants work through what each of the three pillars actually covers, why ESG has moved from voluntary positioning to a reporting and financing requirement in Malaysia, and who is asking: Bursa for listed issuers, banks for sustainability-linked lending, and large customers pushing requirements down their supply chains. Materiality, the main reporting frameworks and the difference between a commitment and a disclosure are covered, along with the practical question of where an organisation with no existing programme should start.
