Lean & Six Sigma (Yellow / Green Belt)

This programme is part of our Industry 4.0 track and sits at the heart of manufacturing productivity, the single largest HRD Corp claimable sector in Malaysia. Participants learn the DMAIC problem-solving method, how to map and improve processes, eliminate waste, and apply basic statistical process control, then complete a real Yellow/Green Belt project during the workshop.

The programme follows the DMAIC structure and is built around a project participants bring from their own operation, so the methodology is applied rather than described. Coverage runs from problem definition and process mapping through measurement system basics, root cause analysis, statistical process control and control planning. The Yellow and Green Belt scopes are addressed together, with the distinction between them made explicit so participants know what they are equipped to lead and what needs support. Certification itself is awarded by external bodies such as IASSC or ASQ; this is a practitioner workshop and a preparation for that route rather than the certification.

DMAIC Methodology

Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control. How the five-phase DMAIC roadmap structures improvement work and keeps projects grounded in data rather than opinion.

Process Mapping & Waste Elimination

Value-stream mapping, spaghetti diagrams and the eight wastes (TIMWOOD). Identifying non-value-adding steps and building a leaner flow on the shop floor or in the back office.

Statistical Process Control Basics

Control charts, process capability (Cp / Cpk), common vs special cause variation. Knowing when a process is stable enough to improve and how to keep it stable.

Root-Cause & Measurement System Analysis

Cause-and-effect, 5 Whys, Pareto, and a practical introduction to gauge R&R so participants trust the data they measure.

Yellow / Green Belt Project Work

Participants scope a live improvement project, apply DMAIC tools to it, and present a before/after case with quantified savings. This becomes the basis of the Belt assessment.

Yes. Delivery options are physical, online, hybrid, e-learning. In-house sessions run at your premises anywhere in Malaysia, online sessions run live over video conference, and hybrid combines both for teams split across sites.

Participants preparing for an external credential can also sit IASSC or ASQ Yellow/Green Belt exams separately. Each certificate carries a certificate number that can be checked at orbixtech.my/certificate-verify.

Level: Beginner to Intermediate. The session is built around worked examples and group exercises rather than theory, so participants apply the material to their own organisation during the session.

Half-day and full-day sessions are quoted per session for a closed group, from RM 800 and RM 1,750 respectively. Advanced 2-day programmes are quoted per participant, from RM 4,000. All figures are before any HRD Corp levy claim.
