A one-day workflow programme for the finance, billing, sales administration, procurement and support staff who have to operate e-Invoicing day to day. This is process and documentation training, not a software implementation course. It covers what a compliant e-Invoice must contain, how validation, rejection and cancellation actually work, which internal documents and controls need to change, and how to handle the awkward cases that generate most of the internal questions.
The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) e-Invoice mandate is being rolled out in phases by annual turnover band. Most organisations discover that the systems side is the smaller problem: the harder part is master data hygiene, deciding who is authorised to submit, reject and cancel, and giving staff a written procedure they can follow when a transaction does not fit the standard pattern. The programme ends with participants drafting that procedure for their own function.

Welcome and Programme Overview
Introduction to the session, objectives, and housekeeping.
9:15 AM - 10:00 AM
E-Invoicing in Malaysia: Scope and Applicability
The LHDN e-Invoice mandate, the phased rollout by annual turnover band, which transactions are in scope, and the exemptions. How an e-Invoice differs from the invoices and receipts your organisation issues today, and what the mandate means for a business that is already live versus one still in its transition window.
10:00 AM - 10:45 AM
The MyInvois Model
MyInvois Portal versus API submission and which suits which transaction volume. What happens between submission and validation, the unique identifier number returned on validation, the validated e-Invoice and its QR code, and where each of those artefacts has to end up: with the buyer, in your records, and on the document itself.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Anatomy of a Compliant E-Invoice
The required data fields, buyer and supplier identification including tax identification number, business registration number and SST registration where applicable, classification codes, currency and tax treatment. A walkthrough of a sample invoice, and the fields most often filled in wrongly or left to a default that will not survive validation.

1:00 PM - 1:45 PM
Validation, Rejection and Cancellation
The rejection and cancellation window, who can trigger each, and what happens once the window closes. The correct use of credit notes, debit notes and refund notes to correct a document that can no longer be cancelled, and the audit trail each correction leaves behind.
1:45 PM - 2:45 PM
The Difficult Cases
Consolidated e-Invoices for buyers who do not require an individual one, self-billed e-Invoices, transactions with foreign suppliers, staff expense claims and reimbursements, disbursements versus reimbursements, e-commerce and marketplace flows, and the customer who will not or cannot supply a tax identification number.

Writing the SOP
