Business Writing and Email Etiquette
A one-day programme on writing that gets acted on. Most workplace writing problems are not grammar problems. They are structural: the request is at the bottom, the reader cannot tell what is wanted, the tone reads as blunt when it was meant as brisk, and the email generates three more emails clarifying what the first one meant.
The session is built on rewriting. Participants work on real documents and emails from their own inbox, apply a structure that puts the action first, and edit each other's drafts against a checklist. Tone is treated seriously, including the specific problem of writing across cultures and seniority in a Malaysian office.
