UI/UX & Digital Product Design

A practical route into product design for people who have to ship real screens. Participants run user research, turn findings into personas and flows, build a clickable prototype in Figma, and test it with real users before a single line of code is written.

Programme Modules

01

User Research and Personas

Interviews, surveys and desk research. Turning raw findings into personas and problem statements a team can actually design against, instead of guessing what users want.

02

Information Architecture and User Flows

Structuring content so people can find it. Sitemaps, task flows and the decisions that quietly determine whether a product feels obvious or confusing.

03

Wireframing and Ideation

Low-fidelity sketching, crazy-eights and rapid iteration. Exploring several structures cheaply before committing to visual design.

04

Prototyping in Figma

Frames, components, auto-layout and interactive prototypes. Participants build a clickable multi-screen prototype from their own wireframes.

05

Design Systems and UI Components

Colour, type scales, spacing and reusable components. Building a small design system so a product stays consistent as it grows and as more people work on it.

06

Usability Testing

Writing test tasks, moderating a session without leading the participant, and reading the results. Participants test their prototype and iterate on what breaks.

07

Developer Handoff

Specs, tokens, assets and the conversations that prevent rework. What developers actually need from a design file.
